After almost 3 decades in a profession which I find endlessly fascinating and challenging, I have come to formulate my own private little set of “do’s” and “don’ts”, which I would like to share with you.
|
| As I understand it, every periodontal treatment program must stand on two legs: the desired outcome, and the process required to attain it. And needless to say, neither can carry the full program’s weight without the other. |
The outcome, of course, must be optimal. To that end I keep abreast of all innovations in this fast-developing field, and work with the best methods and materials – allowing me to provide my patients with the most beneficial periodontal solutions. Thanks to my previous experience as a restorative dentist, I can also see the broader picture, maximizing the final results.
And yet, the road leading to that optimal outcome is sometimes difficult. And since it must be traveled jointly by the two of us: you - my patient, and myself, I feel obligated to ease your journey to the best of my ability.
First of all, I have employed and trained an excellent team and formulated friendly and effective treatment protocols, to facilitate the smooth progress of your treatment program – as complex as it may be.
Then, I make a point of traveling at your pace: some patients prefer an unhurried, gentle journey, with sessions at big intervals, while others would rather “get it over & done with” as quickly as possible.
In addition, I do my best to optimize your quality of life throughout the process: to relieve any discomfort that may accompany the treatment, and to make sure that you have continual use of all essential functions – such as chewing and clear speech.
To achieve all this, I adhere firmly to the basic principle that success is in the planning. Thus, when you choose to come to my clinic, the first thing we’ll do, together - after the initial examination and diagnosis, is create a customized treatment program that is just right for you. Then, with this accurate map to guide us, we’ll be on our way to your successful dental solution.
I look forward to your visit,
Dr. Dorian Hatchuel
